Dying Fabric using Acid Dyes for silks and wool.

Image: Dye bath containing blue acid dyes and heating to 80 degrees to dye silk. Other dye baths were made for dying the wool.
Pre washing:
Fabric was washed using levelling agent to remove impurities.
Recipe: 2 gm Kemtex acid blue dye
2 ltr water
1ml Levelling agent
Fixing Agent (Amonium sulphate)
Final washing in fibre lubricant
Temperature: 80 degrees maximum to ensure no felting occurs. Gentle stirring.
Outcome:
Colour was as intended, very bright, even dying, shades differ depending on what fabrics are used.
Next step: Experiment using acid dyes to obtain light, mid and heavy shades.
