Background for Food Photography

Having the right background for your food photography adds interest to an image. You can make your own cheaply by finding old wooden doors and painting them with a rough textured rag or brush. Alternatively, use pieces of slate, good if you are in a studio.

If on location you might want to consider textured images printed on vinyl which you can roll up and can be found on-line.
