Screen Printing
My hand drawn sketches were printed using the inkjet printer and also hand drawn directly onto acetate using opaque marker pens and exposed using the photo emulsion method which were then screen printed in order to and to evaluate the results of screen printing on various fabrics. Most trials were unsuccessful due to the shifting of the screen resulting in a mirrored effect due to lack of pressure on the screen whilst other trials resulted in bleed marks around the print due to flooding the screen with too much ink. Due to a shoulder injury I am unable to screen print with the pressure that is required so would need to outsource this part of my work if printing large numbers.

Allen, C. [ 2016] Screen printed bird, hand drawn and printed onto acetate. The photo emulsion method used to expose the screen then screen printed using pigment inks. Parts were missing due to lack of pressure on the screen.
